Gemini Enterprise: Get Ready for 3.1 Pro and 3 Flash

Hey everyone, big news in the world of Google Cloud AI. If you're using Gemini Enterprise, you just got a serious upgrade. Google has made Gemini 3.1 Pro and 3 Flash available in what they call "Limited Availability". This is pretty cool.

What does "Limited Availability" actually mean here? Well, even though these models are technically still in preview, Gemini Enterprise users get the generally available Service Level Objectives (SLOs). So you get that enterprise-grade reliability right from the start. That’s a good deal. Google is still keeping an eye on how these models perform, and they plan to lock in the long-term SLOs soon.

And good news on the data front too. They're supporting standard Data Location commitments. So, whether you're working in the US, EU, or global multi-regions, your data residency needs are covered.

These new Gemini models, 3.1 Pro and 3 Flash, are all about powering up your AI and agentic use cases. Think about advanced analytics. Or maybe building some smart agents. We even saw a note about the Cortex Framework today, which talks about building AI-ready data products with BigQuery. It all ties together. Google is really pushing for these intelligent applications.

Having access to these more powerful and faster models means you can build more sophisticated things. You can get better insights. And frankly, make your AI solutions just... smarter. This is a big step for anyone leveraging AI in their enterprise on GCP. It’s an exciting time to be building with Google Cloud.
